team success stories
"I have been an employee of SDA Security for about seven years. I started as a dispatcher in training with little customer service experience and no computer skills. One of the things that I enjoy most about working at SDA is that there is no limit to the opportunities to learn and expand your knowledge. I have gained valuable customer service skills as well as computer and other technical skills that are unique to the alarm industry. Another reason I have enjoyed working with SDA is the sense of family that is maintained in the company. Working for a company that started out as a small family run business and evolved into an expanding corporation is a very rewarding experience. The opportunities for the future create excitement in the work place. Management continuously exerts successful efforts to make each employee feel a part of a family. I have never been made to feel anything other than a valued member of a successful family."

"I have only worked for this company for less than a year, but already, I have experienced great satisfaction with how the supervisors and subordinates treat each other with respect. This is a company where the president knows all the names of the employees. I have never worked for a company where top management would be the first to greet you “Good Morning,” but they do. Every employee knows each other and they always have a helping hand when you need one, without complaint. It is a company where you enjoy going to work because what you are doing is very much appreciated and recognized. I am amazed how they have managed to retain employees for more than 3 decades and still have their loyalty. It is because they treat all their employees as part of their family. I guess this is the best part of being in this company, being a part of their family."

"I started at SDA 13 years ago as an entry-level dispatcher trainee. I came to the company with excellent customer service skills, but I had exactly zero experience in the alarm industry. After about 6 weeks of training, I was beginning to think that I would never catch on, but I worked with really good people, and they kept encouraging me to hang in there. Well I did hang in there, and the light finally came on. Since there was room in the department for growth and advancement, within a year I was the trainer for all new employees.
Although I was the trainer, the alarm industry is constantly growing and new technology is always on the horizon. Therefore, I was always growing and developing my skills. SDA is an excellent company for encouraging you to learn and develop.
They are always offering inside and outside training to the employees. Over the years, the skills I have learned as an employee has afforded me the opportunity to move up in the company to a management position. This is exactly how it should be in a company, and SDA has always been in the forefront of the security industry. SDA is not just a company, it is a family, and all of the employees are made to feel as though they are very valued members of the family. I want to continue be a part of the family as it expands into a major force in the security industry."

"Hi, my name is Kimmer Durand, and I work for SDA Security, I am the installation coordinator. The most rewarding part of my job at SDA is "The Customer!" I very much enjoy interacting with our customers on schedule dates, concerns, complaints and overall satisfaction. What we do here at SDA Security is very important to us and our customers. When I have customers call me directly because we have established a relationship, and they feel good when they speak to me and know I will resolve any issues or concerns they may have, I know I have made a difference for that customer and that is VERY rewarding!!! Also, I very much enjoy working with the "SDA TEAM." All of us here at SDA, regardless of their title, all strive for the same goal, "Customer Satisfaction"! It's wonderful having co-workers who are ALL on the same page…I find that rare this day and age. I have been in the security industry for many years and have experienced a lot of co-workers who just come to work for the pay check and will not go the extra mile for the customer or for themselves. Yes, we all like the pay check, that's why we work, but to be working for a company with ALL the employees on the same page makes for a very functional company and a HAPPY place to work."

"I appreciate the fact that the company allows me to work a flexible reduced-work week schedule. I work every other Friday to be able to spend more time with my daughter, who is six. Also, the Fridays I do work, I leave at 11 am so I can pick her up from school. With me having a Blackberry, I am accessible to all employee matters and still spend quality time with my family."
